High content genomic assays
The IMPPC Genomics and Bioinformatics Unit (GBU-IMPPC) aims to provide state of the art genomics technologies to perform analyses of DNA, RNA and chromatin on a global scale. Technologies include massively parallel sequencing and microarray hybridization. These allow to perform sequencing, genotyping and profiling studies either genomewide or focused on regions of interest. Our equipment setup allows processing of Agilent microarray and Illumina beadarrays, and sequencing by synthesis (Illumina HiScanSQ), pyrosequencing (Roche GS Junior) and proton sequencing (Ion Torrent-Life Tech PGM), allowing a wide choice of applications to chose from depending on users needs. Please see specific listing of assays offered. Some of the applications offered using microarrays have an equivalent sequencing application, and gain in resolution and information content when they are performed using sequencing approaches. The choice of technology depends on the question asked and the allocated budget. Please seek advice through consultation before making your choice.
The GBU-IMPPC offers services for a fee that include consulting and experimental design, nucleic acid sample quality control through electrophoresis and fluorometry, and full execution of genomic assays from sample to data. This includes all steps from sample preparation and assay processing through data extraction and standardized bioinformatic and statistical analysis and reporting.
Preference is given to IMPPC researchers, but services are also open to users from external institutions subject to resources available at the time a service is requested.
