In our current project at the IMPPC we will analyze the function of mH2A during cell fate transitions such as cellular differentiation or oncogenic transformation. At the molecular level we are interested in studying how mH2A is redistributed during cell fate transitions, how mH2A incorporation in specific chromatin regions is achieved and how mH2A affects its chromatin environment.
